Dias De Gracia

2012

Cave and Ellis have contributed to the score of Mexican film Dias de Gracia (Days of Grace), written and directed by Everardo Gout and produced by Leopoldo Gout. The Franco-Mexican co-production, which is set in Mexico City, weaves together three kidnappings that occur during the World Cup tournaments in 2002, 2006 and 2010. The story is told through the eyes of a cop, a victim, and the wife of a victim. Corruption, violence, vengeance. Three destinies, during 30 days, during three Soccer World Cups. Three ways to fight in order to survive.

Alongside Nick and Warren’s music, the film also features music by Aticuss Ross, Shigeru Umebayashe and music produced and arranged by Robert Del Naja ans Tim Goldworthy of Massive Attack fame featuring Scarlett Johansson.

The soundtrack was released on CD through Lakeshore Records in 2012, and is out now digitally – featuring nine tracks composed and performed by Cave and Ellis.

The film is out now in cinemas in New York and available to watch on HBO Latino, full details here.
